High-Impact Career Planning Mastermind

There are many things that we know we should do for our long-term well-being. One such thing for many is career planning. Given that your career choice is a likely candidate for the most important decision of your life in terms of your impact on the world, we at EA Tilburg are especially interested in helping you make progress toward a meaningful and impactful career. However, there are so many ways to potentially make a difference, and it’s often unclear how to best go about exploring, evaluating, and comparing your options, or where to start with any of this in the first place.

This is why we are launching High-Impact Career Mastermind groups. A mastermind group is a peer-to-peer mentoring group used to help members solve their problems with input and advice from the other group members. We want to apply this concept to working towards finding an impactful career and comparing your options.

  • Explore causes

  • Define next steps

  • Learn alongside peers

Structure

The structure will be roughly as follows:

  • Monthly meetings of 1 to 2 hours that help you:

    • Create accountability so that you actually make progress, together with others who are on the same path.

    • Determine the best next steps to explore what kind of career can be meaningful for both yourself and the world and how you can get there.

  • Optional: one-on-one meetings with a board member who can think along with you, suggest opportunities and information that could help you, and put you in touch with relevant people from the global EA network.

  • Work on the plans you draw up for yourself during the meetings. How much or how little this ends up being is entirely up to you!

The High-Impact Career Planning Mastermind will help you figure out how you can pursue an impactful and meaningful career, regardless of where you are in your journey. We will help you explore potential job paths, clarify your thoughts, plan out your next steps, and connect you with mentors and potential job opportunities.

This mastermind will be most helpful to you if you are already familiar with the ideas of EA, for example, if you have completed an Introduction Fellowship or have engaged with EA ideas to an equivalent extent in different ways. In the mean time, also consider joining one of our other events.
